Meadowlark Senior Care Home
Owner /Operator ~ Debbie Wakelam
I am a creative entrepreneur with a pioneer spirit. For more than twenty years I have been the leader in providing an alternative option of senior dementia care and accommodation in Alberta.
"I truly believe we should provide so much more than just physical care for the person in a dignified and respectful manner.
Begin by recognizing each person living with dementia is an individual. They have emotions and feelings just like you and I. So nurture their spirit and help them to enjoy each day."
Just like you, we faced the dilemma of where my beloved grandmother would live when she was diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease. There were few options available to us. It was this need for a new direction in seniors housing and dementia care that made Meadowlark Senior Care Home a reality.
My guiding principle is that Meadowlark is the resident's home and we are there to provide support in a comfortable, secure environment. My philosophy of care is simple, assist each individual with dementia to be “Safe, Healthy and Happy”.
Thank you for entrusting your loved one into our care, it is a privilege and honor to care for them.
